May is "Audrey Hepburn" month @ the Maitland Public Library
On May 4, it would have been Audrey Hepburn's 81st birthday and during the month of May, we are going to celebrate Audrey by showing some of her movies each Tuesday @ 2pm in the Library's multipurpose room.
Tuesday, May 4 - Roman Holiday - Young Princess, tired of the constraints her position brings, runs away. She doesn't know the man who befriends her is a reporter, played by Gregory Peck, out for the story. (118 minutes)
Tuesday, May 11 - Funny Face - Fashion photographer played by Fred Astaire turns bookish Hepburn into a top Paris fashion model in this delightful musical with a classic gershwin score. (103 minutes)
Tuesday, May 18 - Charade -Hepburn meets Grant on a skiing trip in the Alps. When she returns home to Paris, she finds her apartment ransacked, her husband dead and crooks searching for a fortune they’re convinced she’s hiding. As she avoids the sinister group, she becomes fond of Grant who comes to her aid. One by one, each gang member is murdered, making it more difficult for her to distinguish the good guys from the bad ones.
Tuesday, May 25 - Breakfast at Tiffany's - Audrey Hepburn stars as Holly Golightly, the beautiful, if eccentric New York playgirl who won't let anything interfere with her plans to marry a millionaire, not even a romance with new neighbor George Peppard. (115 minutes)
